Mount

The wireless accelerometer node is about the size of a deck of cards with a strong rare-earth magnet on the back. It clips directly to motor housings, pump casings, or compressor bodies — anywhere flat steel or cast iron is present. No drilling, no hardwiring, no maintenance team required. Drive-end bearing location for vibration, near the coupling for alignment. Takes about five minutes per asset once you know placement.

Connect

The gateway device plugs into plant ethernet via RJ45 or runs on cellular (SIM included). Sensor nodes pair automatically within 30 seconds of powering the gateway — no configuration file required. Onboarding uses a QR code on each node: scan with your phone, type the asset name, select equipment type, and assign criticality tier (A/B/C). That's the entire setup. No IT firewall changes for cellular deployments. Ethernet deployments need outbound HTTPS:443 — that's it.

Baseline (14 days)

The first 14 days, Fleetpio doesn't alert — it learns. It records vibration spectra across every load condition your equipment actually runs in: startup, full load, partial load, coast-down. From that data, it builds the per-asset normal fingerprint — the specific frequency amplitude profile for that individual machine running in good health on your plant floor. This is why the false positive rate stays manageable: the comparison is always against that asset's own baseline, not against an equipment-type average. A pump running at 87% load with worn impeller vanes has a different normal spectrum than a new pump. Fleetpio learns that difference, not just "centrifugal pump."

Daily Health Scores

Every morning: each asset in your fleet gets an updated health score from 0–100, a fault classification with confidence percentage, and a trend direction (stable, declining slowly, declining rapidly). Three states trigger different actions — and you configure where the lines are.

Normal — no action required
Asset operating within expected parameters. Score visible in dashboard but no alert generated.
65–79
Watch — schedule for next window
Degradation trend detected. Amber alert. Work order drafted in CMMS at configurable threshold (default 65).

Urgent — P-F window closing fast
Rare at this stage — means previous alerts were missed. Immediate CMMS escalation with high-priority flag.

Auto-Schedule to CMMS

When the score crosses threshold, Fleetpio creates a work order in your CMMS — not a notification asking you to create one. The work order includes the fault type, asset ID, plant location, recommended spares if your parts catalog is connected, and the estimated P-F window remaining. Your technician gets the right information before they walk to the asset. Fix the right thing, on your schedule, before it becomes an emergency callout.
